Pictures of Our Apartment
Entrance to apartment
This is standing on the east side of the apartment looking towards the entrance
Living Room
Living room area Big chest is an entertainment center but you have to provide your own TV. We don't have one. Cable is provided and many people watch the BYU channel and a couple of sisters whose calling seems to be here so their husband can be here seem to watch a lot of just TV. Can't imagine that choice.
couch area
This has also become our computer area. Don has his computer on one side of the table and I have mine on the other. The printer is in the table next to Don's side. I like the couch because it is built for people with short legs.
cocunut tree
Right out our front window is a cocunut tree. We can ask the gardners to harvest coconuts for us and they will shimmy up the tree and cut us a coconut. We haven't done that yet, but we plan to.
View out our living room window
We sit on our couch and this is what we see. Only four apartments on the building where we live, Casa de Huespedes, has this view, the Temple President, one of his counselors (the other counselor is a Dominican and has his residence elsewhere), ourselves, and a room in the CCM (what they call the MTC here). We feel pretty blessed. With the exception of one Dominican single sister who also serves as a temple missionary, all of the other senior missionaries who live in the building have other assignments. I think this apartment was occupied when Sister Santana got her call and that is why it was available for us. We live like right across the street which enters the temple grounds from the temple.
