We have seen glasses, sunglasses, phone cards, fruit, puppies, shoe shines, and much, much more sold at traffic lights. President Johnson told us of a time he picked a bus (that means sticking the nose of your car in front of the other vehicle enough that the other vehicle lets you go first). In the states, you would be flipped off for doing this. Here it is taken in good humor. It is like a game and you won on that move. Anyway, down the road a bit, the bus driver tapped on their window when they were stopped again, and handed in some nuts. (Available from street vendors). Further down the street, he did it again and handed in nuts for the Señora. I guess he had observed she hadn't eaten any of the nuts the first time. The next time they stop at a light, President Johnson calls over a boy selling bottled water on the street, buys a bottle and tells him to deliver it to the bus driver.
