The Graffs

The Graffs came from Texas to serve their mission.  Until they arrived, I was the youngest senior missionary but she is eight years younger than me.  She'll be the youngest for a long time.  They neither one speak Spanish.  They have been sent to a branch which sounds like Cebollo Grande (I've not seen it written but if that is in fact what they are saying, it means big onion.)  He is the branch president there.  This is the same branch where the Calls served.  It is quite a challenge.  I guess Brother Call felt it was necessary to excommunicate several individuals and I guess some people there are not too happy with the church.  Borther Graff has worked as an auctioneer.

Not only does Elder Graff speak NO Spanish, but NOT ONE person in the branch speaks a word of English, and he has NO counselors in the Branch Presidency. He says he intends to keep it that way, because of intense competition among branch members for the "plum" positions. His "crazy" actions have already increased member attendance substantially, he says!
